Horn of Plenty Fruit Stuffing

1 box (12 oz.) of Mrs. Cubbison's Traditional Seasoned Stuffing or Seasoned Corn Bread Stuffing

1 cup; butter or margarine melted, or oil

1 1/2 cups; liquid (water, broth, or fruit juice)

1 cup; dried figs, chopped

1 cup; dried apricots, chopped

1 cup; pecans, chopped


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and stir to thoroughly moisten.
  2. Stuff mixture in neck and body cavity of turkey loosely, as it will expand during roasting.
  3. Skewer openings. Roast as usual.
  4. To prepare as a casserole, place stuffing in a greased baking dish, and bake on middle rack of preheated 350°F oven for 45 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
