Top of Stove Stuffing

1/2 box (6 oz.) of Mrs. Cubbison's Traditional Seasoned Stuffing or Seasoned Corn Bread Stuffing

2 tablespoons; Butter or Margarine

1/2 cup; Onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup; Celery, finely chopped

1 1/3 cups; Water

1 teaspoon; Instant chicken bouillon or one bouillon cube


  • Melt butter or margarine in a 2-quart saucepan.
  • Add onion and celery and sauté until onion is transparent.
  • Add water and bouillon. Heat to boiling on high heat.
  • Cover, reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in dressing mix. Cover and let stand 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Fluff with a fork to serve.
