Horn of Plenty Fruit Stuffing

1 box (12 oz.) of Mrs. Cubbison's Traditional Seasoned Stuffing or Seasoned Corn Bread Stuffing

1 cup; butter or margarine melted, or oil

1 1/2 cups; liquid (water, broth, or fruit juice)

1 cup; dried figs, chopped

1 cup; dried apricots, chopped

1 cup; pecans, chopped


  • In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and stir to thoroughly moisten.
  • Stuff mixture in neck and body cavity of turkey loosely, as it will expand during roasting.
  • Skewer openings. Roast as usual.
  • To prepare as a casserole, place stuffing in a greased baking dish, and bake on middle rack of preheated 350°F oven for 45 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
